Aruba est une île de la mer des caraîbes faisant partie des petites Antilles et située au large des côtes du Vénézuela. C’est un état autonome du Royaume des Pays-Bas. Le Florin d’Aruba a remplacé en 1986 le Florin des Antilles Néerlandaises. Comme le florin antillais, il est resté lié au dollar américain au taux nominal de 1 USD pour 1,79 AWG..

The Aruban guilder replaced the Netherlands Antillean guilder in 1986. Like the Antillean guilder, it remained pegged to the US dollar at a nominal rate of USD 1 = AWG 1.79.
