Très bel exemplaire sur un flan ovale, centré des deux côtés. Superbe portrait d’Apollon ainsi qu’un revers finement détaillé. Métal légèrement piqué. Patine foncée

Prusias I, the son of Ziaelas (255-228 BC), grandson of Nicomedes I (279-255 BC) is certainly one of the greatest Bithynian monarchs. He succeeded in maintaining his kingdom in a difficult period in the face of Seleucid hegemony. He married one of the daughters of Philip V of Macedon, Apama. He died fighting Eumenes II of Pergamum (19-160 BC). His son, Prusias II (185-149 BC) succeeded him..
