Il est très difficile de démêler les fils de l’écheveau des monnayages du Norique au IIe et Ier siècles avant J.-C. Cette complexité est renforcée par les modifications géographiques importantes connues par l’ancien empire austro-hongrois depuis la première Guerre mondiale. Les changements intervenus depuis maintenant plus de dix ans avec l’éclatement de l’ancien bloc soviétique ont encore modifié cet état de fait.
It is very difficult to unravel the threads of the skein of Noricum coins in the 2nd and 1st centuries BC. This complexity is reinforced by the significant geographical changes experienced by the former Austro-Hungarian Empire since the First World War. The changes that have occurred over the past ten years with the breakup of the former Soviet bloc have further modified this state of affairs.
