FRENCH CONSTITUTION - NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
(20/06/1789-21/09/1792)
On June 17, 1789, the "States General" set themselves up as the "National Assembly". On June 20, the deputies of the Third Estate, as well as 149 representatives of the Clergy and 2 of the nobility, meet in the Salle du Jeu de Paume, in Versailles and swear not to separate until the Constitution is written.
