Exemplaire sur un petit flan bien centré des deux côtés, à l’usure régulière. Beau portrait d’Athéna. Buste d’Artémis bien venu à la frappe à l’usure régulière. Très jolie patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés et bleutés acier, légèrement granuleuse

AIOLIS - MYRINA

(4th - 3rd century BC)

Myrhina, located northeast of Cyme, eclipsed by its powerful neighbor only appears in the Hellenistic period. Coinage would begin around 300 BC. The city was famous for the worship of Apollo Grynion. But the symbol of the city seems to have been the amphora which is placed at the feet of Apollo.
