The city entered the league of Delos. Raised in 446 BC. -VS. against Athens, she was severely punished and received a cleruchy. Revolted again in 411 BC. -VS. pushed by the Lacedaemonians, it saw its status confirmed by the peace of Antalcidas in 387 BC. -VS. From 371 BC. -VS. , it passed under the Theban protectorate after the victory of Epamminondas at Leuctra, but fell back under the influence of Athens after the battle of Mantinea (362 BC).. -VS. ).
