Ce type de bronze est très rare ; le revers correspond au n° 869 de MONNAIES XVIII, mais avec un annelet perlé en plus du petit annelet présent entre les pattes du lion. Le DT. 2492 (= n° 869 de MONNAIES XVIII) est considéré comme un unicum. Cet exemplaire en est un second avec une variante inédite !

Techniquement, cet exemplaire est extraordinaire ; le flan de bronze a été préparé avec une pépite ou une particule d’argent, qui se retrouve en surface, au niveau de l'œil du lion ! Cette particularité nous est complètement inconnue et c’est la première fois que nous observions un tel “accident” !

L'épigraphie du droit CISIAMBOS est connue, mais pas pour ce type, et sans l'épigraphie OYO du revers. C’est donc un nouveau bronze pour le petit numéraire attribué aux Léxoviens. Il est intéressant de remarquer le bronze 115 de la vente Albuquerque du 18/06/93, avec un revers assez semblable à celui-ci était décrit comme étant du type LT 7357, mais avec de "multiples annelets" et un annelet entouré d'un cercle perlé entre les pattes. Cette dernière particularité le rapproche de l'exemplaire proposé ici !.
This type of bronze is very rare; the reverse corresponds to No. 869 of MONNAIES XVIII, but with a pearl ringlet in addition to the small ringlet present between the lion's paws. DT. 2492 (= No. 869 of MONNAIES XVIII) is considered a unicum. This example is a second with a new variant! Technically, this example is extraordinary; the bronze flan was prepared with a nugget or a particle of silver, which is found on the surface, at the level of the lion's eye! This particularity is completely unknown to us and it is the first time that we observe such an “accident”! The epigraphy of the CISIAMBOS obverse is known, but not for this type, and without the OYO epigraphy of the reverse. It is therefore a new bronze for the small currency attributed to the Lexovii. It is interesting to note that bronze 115 from the Albuquerque sale of 18/06/93, with a reverse quite similar to this one, was described as being of the LT 7357 type, but with \\\"multiple ringlets\\\" and a ringlet surrounded by a pearl circle between the legs. This last feature brings it closer to the example offered here!
