Cet exemplaire est celui qui illustre le SAVÈS, Les monnaies gauloises à la croix, n° 288

Аверс: легенда: ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Аверс: описание: Tête à gauche, le dessin fruste, avec la hache visible au milieu du visage et le trait reliant le nez.

Реверс: легенда: ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Реверс: Описание: Croix formée de quatre cantons ; besant aux 1er , 2e et 4e cantons ; hache évidée à gauche au 3e canton.

Комментарий

Toutes les monnaies de ce type semblent avoir été frappées avec la même combinaison de coins. Ces monnaies assez frustes illustreraient la dégénérescence du type S. 287 (MONNAIES XXIII, n° 728). Selon G. Savès, les deux traits qui biffent le droit seraient le résultat de la hache supposée au droit du S. 287. Quoi qu'il en soit, il est difficile de donner un état de conservation à ces monnaies qui ne sont pas iconographiquement "jolies" mais qui illustrent la dégénérescence d'un monnayage.
All coins of this type seem to have been struck with the same combination of dies. These rather crude coins would illustrate the degeneration of the S. 287 type (MONNAIES XXIII, n° 728). According to G. Savès, the two lines that strike out the obverse would be the result of the axe supposedly on the obverse of S. 287. In any case, it is difficult to give a state of conservation to these coins which are not iconographically \\\"pretty\\\" but which illustrate the degeneration of a coinage
