Exemplaire sur un flan légèrement ovale, parfaitement centré des deux côtés, complet. Très joli droit avec une usure superficielle. Revers de toute beauté avec une tête de Méduse émouvante. Très jolie patine de collection ancienne, gris foncé avec des reflets dorés et bleutés

Style archaïsant. Le droit est bien le bœuf et non pas la tête de Méduse comme souvent décrit dans de nombreux ouvrages. Très joli style.

Parium, located by the sea on the Propontis, at the mouth of the Hellespont between Lampsaque and Priapos, was an important and flourishing port. The city was founded in 710 BC and experienced its greatest period of development in the 4th century BC.
