Deux séries Brillant Universel ont été émises en 2012, une avec les 8 pièces Euro au millésime 2012 et la seconde avec les 8 pièces Euro et la 5 Euro argent “Centenaire de la mort de Giovanni Pascoli”au millésime 2012.
Series containing the 8 Euro San Marino coins 2012 from 1 cent to 2 Euro Domus Magna, in Brilliant Uncirculated quality. Two Brilliant Uncirculated series were issued in 2012, one with the 8 Euro coins in the 2012 vintage and the second with the 8 Euro coins and the 5 Euro silver “Centenary of the death of Giovanni Pascoli” in the 2012 vintage

SAN MARINO
(13th century - nowadays)
The small republic of San Marino, south of Rimini, has been free since the 13th century. In the 15th century, it gave itself a Grand Council of sixty members recruited from the nobility and the bourgeoisie. In the 19th century it was a bastion for revolutionaries and it placed itself under the protection of the new Italian kingdom from 1862, which respected its independence. The members of the Grand Council are elected for four years by universal suffrage (introduced in 1909); two of them exercise executive power as captains-regent for six months.
