Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale et irrégulier, bien centré mais un peu court sur la légende de revers. Belle tête de Septime Sévère. Mont Argée bien venu à la frappe, faiblesse sur la légende. Jolie patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés

SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS

Septimius Severus was born in 146 in Leptis Magna in Africa (Libya). After a brilliant military career under the reigns of Marc Aurèle and Commodus, he was consul suffect in 185. At the time of Pertinax's death, he was governor of Upper Pannonia.
