Exemplaire sur un petit flan légèrement décentré sur la tête d’Athéna au droit, de haut relief. Frappe molle au revers sur la chouette. Très jolie patine vert foncé

TROAS - SIGEION

(4th century BC)

Sigea was located near a promontory at the entrance to the Hellespont. This place was said to have hosted the tomb of Achilles. Aeolian colony, it was often disputed between Athens and Mytilene.
