Exemplaire sur un petit flan décentré sur les légendes. Beau portrait. Jolie représentation au revers. Belle patine marron foncé, légèrement granuleuse

Комментарий
Rubans de type 3. Monnayage très particulier avec une légende latine au droit et grecque au revers. Cette caractéristique ne concerne que les règnes de Domitien et de Trajan. Le monnayage de Domitien semble concentré sur le XIIII consulat de l’empereur en 88-89, correspondant à la campagne dacique de Domitien. Les auteurs du Roman Provincial Coinage ont recensé six exemplaires avec deux coins de droit et un poids moyen de 6,56 g.

Augustus
Domitian, born in 51, became august in 81, succeeding his brother. In 86, the Capitoline games were organized for the first time. The Flavian Palace is erected on the Palatine. In 88, the secular games were celebrated with pomp. A first campaign is launched on Dacia which ends with a peace of compromise, leaving Decebalus master of the situation. Domitian has just won a brilliant campaign against the Sarmatians and the Suevi (IMP XXII). Agricola died in disgrace on August 23, 93. In 95, Domitian had Flavius Clemens, his cousin, executed. The following year, Domitian will be assassinated at the instigation of his wife and the prefect of the Praetorium.
