Photographie de la maquette du recto du projet de recto pour un 10 Francs Soldat non émis. Grand format 26,8cm x 16,7cm. Au dos cachet de l'atelier de Lucien Jonas (1880-1947). Commande de 1939, les maquettes de cette vignette présentant un fantassin sont achevées en janvier 1940 mais la déroute de mai-juin amènera la BdF à demander à Lucien Jonas le remplacement du soldat par un mineur. Ce document est proche de celui illustré dans le livre Billets en Guerre de M.Camus (p.42) mais même si le visuel semble identique quelques détails diffèrent, entre autres, le cartouche d'alphabet plus petit laissant la place au S de 10 Francs. C'est la première fois que nous présentons un document relatif au 10 F Soldat type 1939.
Photograph of the mock-up of the obverse design for an unissued 10 Francs Soldier coin. Large format 26.8cm x 16.7cm. On the reverse, the stamp of Lucien Jonas's workshop (1880-1947). Commissioned in 1939, the mock-ups for this vignette depicting an infantryman were completed in January 1940, but the defeat of May-June led the Bank of France to request that Lucien Jonas replace the soldier with a miner. This document is similar to the one illustrated in the book \\\"Billets en Guerre\\\" by Michel Camus (p. 42), but even though the image appears identical, some details differ, including a smaller alphabet cartouche that makes room for the \\\"S\\\" of \\\"10 Francs.\\\" This is the first time we have presented a document relating to the 1939 type 10 Franc Soldier coin.
