Deux épreuves, une recto seul et une verso-recto, sur papier fiduciaire grandes marges, sans filigrane, collées sur une page cartonnée à fenêtres. Sans numérotation mais avec signatures. En marge, sur le recto et le verso, signature manuscrite du graveur E.Deloche.
Two proofs, one recto only and one verso-recto, on wide-margined fiduciary paper, without watermark, glued onto a cardboard page with windows. Unnumbered but with signatures. In the margin, on the recto and verso, handwritten signature of the engraver E.Deloche

Originally, the 300F was a 10F note designed to replace the 10F Minerve 1915. The imminence of war urged the Banque de France to print a higher face value. The decision was made to print a 300F on the same paper as the 10F 1915. The 300F was held in reserve and not circulated until 1945
