10 Euro circulating commemorative coin whose theme is the fiftieth anniversary of Saarland's annexation to Germany. In 1946, Saarland was included in the French occupation zone. Placed under French mandate, it adopted a constitution in 1947, which legally made it a true state. The Luxembourg Agreements of 1956 put an end to this situation, and on 1 January 1957, Saarland joined the Federal Republic of Germany.
