GERMANY - WURZBURG (BISHOPRIC OF) - LUDWIG I OF BAVARIA

The bishopric of Wurzburg obtained the right to mint coins in the 11th century. In 1806, the bishopric was elevated to the rank of Grand Duchy for Grand Duke Ferdinand. In 1815, at the Congress of Vienna, the territory passed to Bavaria.
