La monnaie n° 101 d’Oxford a lui aussi une croisette devant le visage au droit. Le revers est d’un style comparable à nos exemplaires, mais avec deux annelets et deux globules dans le champ alors que ce n’est pas le cas ici.
Tous les exemplaires publiés semblent avoir un champ diversement orné au revers. Seul le n° 110 d’Oxford pourrait n’avoir qu’un oiseau sur la croix, mais son état est trop médiocre pour l’assurer.
Ce type avec l’oiseau posé sur une croix, parfois confondu avec des monnaies continentales, est assez commun ; il existe un grand nombre de variantes.
Oxford No. 101 also has a cross in front of the obverse. The reverse is of a similar style to our examples, but with two annulets and two globules in the field, whereas this is not the case here. All published examples appear to have a variously decorated field on the reverse. Only Oxford No. 110 may have only a bird on the cross, but its condition is too poor to be certain. This type with the bird on a cross, sometimes confused with continental coins, is quite common; there are a large number of variants
