Monnaie d’un type très rare. Le cheval est clairement androcéphale et l’aurige tient un torque.
Les quelques rares exemplaires de ce type avaient été vendus lors de la dispersion de collections telle celle d’A. Trampitsch chez Jean VINCHON.
Cet exemplaire présente une tête d’un style très inhabituel. Le cou présente un détail intéressant, en bord de flan, pouvant être interprété comme une fibule du type de la Tène !.
Coin of a very rare type. The horse is clearly androcephalic and the charioteer is holding a torque. The few rare examples of this type had been sold during the dispersal of collections such as that of A. Trampitsch at Jean VINCHON. This example presents a head of a very unusual style. The neck presents an interesting detail, on the edge of the flan, which could be interpreted as a fibula of the La Tène type!
