bga_287492 - GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux) Bronze au cheval et au sanglier

Le bga_171860 de CELTIC I (= MONNAIES XV, n° 1159) est le seul autre bronze de ce type précis, avec cette chevelure, que nous ayons eu en vente !

Ce type est très rare et l'exemplaire est dans un état de conservation particulièrement bon. Un exemplaire était conservé à la BN et un second au Musée de Lyon. Le droit n'est pas sans rappeler le bronze MONNAIES XV, n° 1186 (LT. 8570-8572). Proposé aux Suessions dans MONNAIES XV, ce bronze est à restituer aux Aulerques Eburovices et il figure justement dans le Tome II du Nouvel Atlas.
The bga_171860 of CELTIC I (= COINS XV, no. 1159) is the only other bronze of this precise type, with this hair, that we have had for sale! This type is very rare and the example is in a particularly good state of preservation. One example was kept at the National Library and a second at the Museum of Lyon. The obverse is reminiscent of the bronze COINS XV, no. 1186 (LT. 8570-8572). Offered to the Suessiones in COINS XV, this bronze is to be returned to the Aulerci Eburovices and it appears in Volume II of the New Atlas
