Agréable monnaie, sur un flan un peu court mais avec des types de droit et de revers centrés et assez bien venus. Frappe un peu molle ou usure homogène, mais bel aspect général

Les monnaies de ce types présentent une très belle iconographie, tant dans la chevelure du droit que dans la composition du revers avec le cheval, le loup et le pseudo-aurige.
Cet exemplaire est un peu léger. Celui trouvé au Vieil-Évreux au XIXe siècle et aujourd’hui perdu aurait pesé 4,54 g (Sch/E. 168). Sur les deux exemplaire du Nouvel Atlas, le premier provient de la BN (n° 7170) alors que le second provient d’une collection privée.
Coins of this type have very beautiful iconography, both in the hair on the obverse and in the composition of the reverse with the horse, the wolf and the pseudo-charioteer. This example is a little light. The one found at Vieil-Évreux in the 19th century and now lost would have weighed 4.54 g (Sch/E. 168). Of the two copies of the New Atlas, the first comes from the National Library (No. 7170) while the second comes from a private collection.

GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux)
(3rd - 1st century BC)
The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
