Cette série se déroule sur cinq années (2012-2017) avec l’émission de deux pièces par an. La dixième et dernière pièce de cette série sera consacrée à l’Autriche dans son ensemble.

Un concours a été lancé dans les écoles autrichiennes auprès d’enfants de 9-10 ans pour qu’ils dessinent leur province. Le dessin gagnant est reproduit sur l’avers de chaque pièce.
Le revers de chaque pièce est illustré par un monument autrichien remarquable classé au Patrimoine mondial de l’Unesco.
Le concours pour la troisième pièce de la série a été remporté par un jeune autrichien de dix ans, Christian Kopf de Ertl

The reverse of each coin is illustrated by a remarkable Austrian monument classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site..
The competition for the third piece in the series was won by a ten-year-old Austrian boy, Christian Kopf from Ertl.
