Ce bronze n’est pas sans rappeler le DT. S2613A avec l’oiseau au-dessus du cheval. Il pourrait s’agir du même monnayage tardif. Le style pourrait faire penser un monnayage outre-Manche, mais rien ‘y correspond dans le Van Arsdell.

Stylistiquement, le droit de cet exemplaire semble pouvoir être rapproché du monnayage des Baïocasses ou du groupe dit “de Normandie”, avec le petit sanglier et la lyre devant le visage. le revers est aussi très proche de la typologie des statères, mais avec une lyre au-dessus du cheval au lieu de l’aurige.

Le classement “entre Seine et Loire” proposé pour le bronze inédit (?) S2613A nous semble à revoir, au profit du groupe de Normandie !.
This bronze is reminiscent of DT. S2613A with the bird above the horse. It could be the same late coinage. The style could suggest a coinage from across the Channel, but nothing corresponds to it in the Van Arsdell. Stylistically, the obverse of this example seems to be comparable to the coinage of the Baïocasses or the so-called “Normandy” group, with the small boar and the lyre in front of the face. The reverse is also very close to the typology of the staters, but with a lyre above the horse instead of the charioteer. The classification “between Seine and Loire” proposed for the unpublished bronze (?) S2613A seems to us to be revised, in favor of the Normandy group!
