Cette monnaie de bronze appartient clairement à la série 344 du Nouvel Atlas, cette dernière regroupant les monnaies de billon traditionnellement attribuées aux Baïocasses.
Si la typologie est la même le métal n’a rien à voir ; le flan est plus court et plus épais, mais en bronze !
Le style du droit rappellerait plutôt les monnaies dites de style figuratif, avec l'œil en amande. Au revers le vexillum est particulièrement bien venu devant le cheval.
This bronze coin clearly belongs to series 344 of the New Atlas, the latter grouping the billon coins traditionally attributed to the Baiocasses. If the typology is the same, the metal has nothing to do with it; the flan is shorter and thicker, but in bronze! The style of the obverse would rather recall the so-called figurative style coins, with the almond-shaped eye. On the reverse, the vexillum is particularly well placed in front of the horse
