“Traité historique des monnoies de France, depuis le commencement de la Monarchie jusques a present”, édition de 1690, chez Charles Robustel, rue Saint-Jacques au Palmier à Paris
In 4° (19,5 x 26 cm), page de titre, préface de 14 p., prolégomènes de 52 p., 420 p. table des matières de 16 pages, et 52 planches dans le texte. Reliure d’époque en cuir avec dos à cinq nerfs légèrement frottés, plats et dos décorés à froid avec motifs floraux, pièce de titre doré. Intérieur présentant quelques rousseurs, mais très peu sur les planches. Petit trou de vers au-dessus de la page du titre. La première édition du Le Blanc (1690) est de loin la plus rare. Cet ouvrage, le premier qui dresse un état du monnayage royal français, reste d’une grande importance par sa documentation.

Contemporary leather binding with lightly rubbed five-ribbed spine, covers and spine blind-decorated with floral motifs, gilt title label. Interior with some foxing, but very little on the plates. Small wormhole above the title page. The first edition of Le Blanc (1690) is by far the rarest.
