Exemplaire sur un petit flan, légèrement décentré au droit. Magnifique portrait de haut relief et de joli style. Revers bien venu à la frappe. Jolie patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés

BRUTUS

(85-42 BC)

Brutus first chooses Pompey against Caesar. After Pharsalus (48 BC), the dictator forgives and adopts Brutus. This plots against Caesar and participates in his assassination on the Ides of March (March 15, 44 BC). He then retired to Macedonia. Having gathered his troops with those of Cassius, he confronts Marc Antoine and Octave at Philippi in 42 BC. Defeated, he commits suicide.
