Caletes (Pays de Caux)

(III - II century BC)

The Calètes people of Belgium were sometimes considered Armoricans. They occupied a part of the present department of Seine-Maritime with Caux and Bray. They had for neighbors Veliocasses the Bellovaci they were customers and Ambiens. The Calètes have provided a contingent of ten thousand Belgian coalition led by the Bellovaci in 57 BC In 52 BC, they participated with seven armoricains people to send twenty thousand men for the army of relief for delivering Alesia.
