Walincourt is a small town located in the arrondissement of Cambrai, (canton of Clary, arrondissement of Cambrai). In 1306, the Count of Hainaut granted the lords of Walincourt the right to mint coins. In 1314, Jean de Walincourt recognized that his fief belonged to the bishop of Cambrai and therefore ceased all strikes. Walincourt was almost completely destroyed during the First World War.
