Реверс: Описание: Pluton coiffé du modius, assis à gauche, la main gauche appuyée sur son sceptre, la droite étendue au-dessus de la tête de Cerbère.

Реверс: перевод: “Pontifex Maximus Tribunicia Potestate duodevicesimus Consul quartum Pater Patriæ”, (Grand pontife revêtu de la dix-huitième puissance tribunitienne consul pour la quatrième fois père de la patrie).

Комментарий

Poids lourd. Cet antoninien fort rare est frappé à l’occasion des vœux pour le rétablissement de la santé de Caracalla.

This coin, characterized by the presence of the radiate (solar) crown, weighs an average of 5.07 g and is cut at 64 to the pound (1 pound = 325 g) with a title of 50% cash. The denier, meanwhile, weighs an average of 3.38 g, or a size of 96 to the pound with a silver content also of 50%. So the Antonine weighs one and a half times the weight of a denarius and runs for two deniers.
