Denier bien identifiable, bien que sur un flan un peu court. Les types sont complets et les légendes peuvent facilement être restituées. Patine grise et granuleuse, avec des reliefs un peu mous résultant d’une frappe faible

Avec la légende EBRI, ce denier appartient à la production du monétaire EBRICHARIVS. Normalement, la légende CENOMANIS est au droit autour des deux personnage et le nom du monétaire au revers, autour de la croix ; c’est l’inverse sur ce denier ce qui en fait une monnaie inédite puisque cette inversion manque à tous les ouvrages consultés, et même au Moneta sur les deniers.

Il est intéressant de noter la rareté des deniers du Mans ; 6 exemplaires dans le trésor de Bais, 2 à Saint-Pierre-les-Etieux, 4 à Plassac et seulement 6 dans les collections de la BN.

Ce type est traditionnellement interprété comme deux personnages ; il s’agirait de Saint-Gervais et Saint-Protais entre un menhir ou un peulven surmonté d’une croix.
With the legend EBRI, this denarius belongs to the production of the monetary EBRICHARIVS. Normally, the legend CENOMANIS is on the obverse around the two figures and the name of the monetary on the reverse, around the cross; it is the reverse on this denarius which makes it an unprecedented coin since this inversion is missing from all the works consulted, and even from the Moneta on the denarii. It is interesting to note the rarity of the denarii of Le Mans; 6 examples in the treasure of Bais, 2 at Saint-Pierre-les-Etieux, 4 at Plassac and only 6 in the collections of the BN. This type is traditionally interpreted as two figures; it would be Saint-Gervais and Saint-Protais between a menhir or a peulven surmounted by a cross
