Ce denier, en dépit de reliefs nets, est dans un état de conservation déplorable puisqu’il est tordu en fendu, probablement suite à l’action des labours. Les légendes sont toutefois parfaitement lisibles. Une patine foncée le recouvre

Комментарий

Monnaie inédite et probablement unique en raison de la légende de droit. Les rares deniers de Saint-Géry portent en effet la légende GRATIA D-I REX, cet exemplaire, avec la légende IMPERATOR ACVS, a certainement été frappé entre 875 et 877, lorsque Charles le Chauve portait le titre d’empereur. Monnaie exceptionnelle et du plus grand intérêt numismatique.
Unpublished and probably unique coin due to the legend on the right. The rare denarii of Saint-Géry indeed bear the legend GRATIA DI REX, this example, with the legend IMPERATOR ACVS, was certainly struck between 875 and 877, when Charles the Bald held the title of emperor. Exceptional coin and of the greatest numismatic interest
