La médaille est conservée dans un écrin en cuir gaufré de liserés dorés, accompagnée de la photo d’un homme inconnu.
La Banque de Paris & des Pays-Bas est fondée à Paris en 1872 et fonctionne essentiellement comme banque d’affaires. Cette banque existe toujours sous le nom plus moderne de BNP-Paribas.

The Fifth Republic, whose constitution was approved by referendum on September 28, 1958 by more than 79% of French people, only officially began with the installation of General de Gaulle as president on January 8, 1959.
