Exemplaire sur un flan très large avec les grènetis visibles et des petits plats de frappe. Beau portrait juvénile de Constantin II. Joli revers de style fin. Magnifique patine gris métallique avec des reflets dorés. Conserve l’intégralité de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Комментарий
Poids léger. Avec l’intégralité de son argenture superficielle. Rubans de type 1 aux extrémités bouletées. C’est l’avant dernière émission frappée à Londres avant la fermeture. Ce type semble en fait plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux. Nous avons cependant 72 exemplaires recensés dans le trésor de Cologne.

Caesar
Born in February 317 according to the most recent chronology, Constantine the Younger receives on coins the title of Caesar like his half-brother Crispus and his cousin Licinius, as well as the title of Prince of Youth. Constantine II is the eldest son of Constantine I and Fausta. In September 337, he received the "pars occidentalis" from the Empire with subjection to his brother Constans, Constantius II having the "pars orientalis". Very quickly, Constantin and Constans fall out. The eldest is eliminated in April 340.
