Frappé sur un flan ovale, qui permet une bonne mise en page des types de droit et de revers. Aspect poreux typique du billon et patine grisâtre avec des taches claires

Комментарий
Le revers avec le cheval et le sanglier orientés à gauche rappelle les classes 3a, b et 4 des Vénètes. Le type de droit se rapporterait à la classe 3b. Mais le métal utilisé et le style font plutôt pencher pour une attribution aux Coriosolites. Ce type semblerait inédit et pourrait constituer une tête de série ou un prototype de la classe VI des Coriosolites qui serait le premier à avoir été frappé.

CORIOSOLITÆ (Area of Corseul, Cotes d'Armor)
(2nd - 1st century BC)
The Coriosolites were an Armorican people, settled in the current department of Côtes-d'Armor. They had for neighbors the Osismes, the Vénètes, the Namnètes and the Redons. They were a seafaring people whose main port seems to have been Alet. Their name is still preserved today in that of Corseul. They played an important role in trade with insular Britain, took part in the campaign of 57 BC and were subjugated by Crassus. The following year, they again participated in the revolt of the Armoricans under the leadership of the Veneti with the Unelles and the Lexoviens, all crushed by Caesar. In 52 BC, the Coriosolites participated in the contingent of twenty thousand men that the Armoricans sent to free Vercingetorix, besieged in Alesia. Caesar (BG. II, 34; III, 7, 11; VII, 75).
