Le Kon-Tiki est un radeau construit par l'anthropologue norvégien Thor Heyerdahl pour réaliser une traversée de l'océan Pacifique. En dérivant et avec l'aide d'une voile rudimentaire, l'embarcation et son équipage partent du Pérou et parviennent à rejoindre l'archipel des Tuamotu après cent un jours et huit mille kilomètres de navigation du 28 avril au 7 août 1947. L’expédition veut vérifier l'hypothèse de l'exploration inca de l'océan Pacifique.
The Kon-Tiki is a raft built by Norwegian anthropologist Thor Heyerdahl to cross the Pacific Ocean. Drifting and with the help of a rudimentary sail, the boat and its crew set off from Peru and reached the Tuamotu Archipelago after 101 days and 8,000 kilometers of navigation from April 28 to August 7, 1947. The expedition wanted to test the hypothesis of Inca exploration of the Pacific Ocean.
