Médaille avec un diamètre sans bélière de 23 mm.

Cette médaille s’inspire de celle pour les événements du 10 août 1792. Au son du tocsin, dans la nuit du 9 au 10 août 1792, les fédérés et délégués des sections constituent une commune insurrectionnelle et destituent le maire de Paris. Sans-culottes et fédérés affrontent dans la cour du Carrousel les Suisses, tandis que le roi et sa famille sont réfugiés dans l’enceinte de l’Assemblée législative. Sous la pression de l’insurrection, les Suisses sont massacrés et Louis XVI est suspendu, il devient prisonnier de la commune de Paris.
