l23698 - Die Münzen und Medaillen von Köln - Band III: Alfred Noss, Die Münzen der Erzbischöfe von Köln, 1547-1794. Band IV: Alfred Noss, Die Münzen der Städte Köln und Neuß, 1474-1794 NOSS ALFRED

Coins issued by the Archbishop and the City of Cologne over a period of nearly one thousand years are contained in the four volumes by Hävernick and Noss. The work moves from the denars of early commerce to gold guilders, thalers and ducats, to the last hellers issued directly by the City of Cologne and by the archiepiscopal mints, especially Bonn and Deutz. The volumes are still masterful presentations of those mints which were for a long period the most important in the German Empire.
