Ce jeton fait allusion à la naissance du prince Henri, futur Henri Ier dit le Bon en 1563.
Claude de France, née à Fontainebleau le 12 novembre 1547, morte à Nancy le 21 février 1575, est la deuxième fille d'Henri II et de Catherine de Médicis.
Élevée aux côtés d'Élisabeth de France et de Marie Stuart, elle épouse en 1559 Charles III, duc de Lorraine et de Bar. Cette princesse fort discrète est la fille préférée de Catherine de Médicis. Elle quitte fréquemment Nancy, la capitale de Lorraine pour vivre au coté de sa mère à la cour de France. Elle porte le prénom de sa grand-mère paternelle Claude de France.
Mariée à 12 ans, morte (en couches) à 27 ans, Claude de France mit au monde neuf enfants.

Claude de France, born in Fontainebleau on November 12, 1547, died in Nancy on February 21, 1575, was the second daughter of Henry II and Catherine de Medici. Raised alongside Elizabeth of France and Mary Stuart, she married Charles III, Duke of Lorraine and Bar in 1559. This very discreet princess was Catherine de Medici's favorite daughter. She frequently left Nancy, the capital of Lorraine, to live with her mother at the court of France. She was named after her paternal grandmother, Claude de France. Married at the age of 12 and died (in childbirth) at the age of 27, Claude de France gave birth to nine children.
