Комментарий

Monnaie d’un type exceptionnel, avec de très beaux motifs. Ce type précis correspond au DT. 3241 (n° 436 du Musée de Lyon) et au n° IV de la planche du Trésor de Siaugues-Saint-Romain par Changarnier, à la nuance près que notre exemplaire présente deux petites rouelles (en bord de flan) au-dessus du cheval, contre une seule sur le n° IV. Le n° 644 de MONNAIES 53 présentait le même revers mais un avers moins finement orné ; il a été vendu 650€ plus les frais.
Simone Scheers ne recensait que 2 exemplaires ; le n° 768 (= Z. 487) et le n° 769 (= BN. 4061).
Ce monnayage a été récemment réétudié par K. Gruel, lors de la parution des Mélange offerts à S. Scheers.
Coin of an exceptional type, with very beautiful motifs. This precise type corresponds to DT. 3241 (no. 436 of the Lyon Museum) and to no. IV of the plate of the Trésor de Siaugues-Saint-Romain by Changarnier, with the difference that our example has two small wheels (on the edge of the flan) above the horse, compared to only one on no. IV. No. 644 of MONNAIES 53 had the same reverse but a less finely decorated obverse; it was sold for €650 plus fees. Simone Scheers only recorded 2 examples; no. 768 (= Z. 487) and no. 769 (= BN. 4061). This coinage was recently re-examined by K. Gruel, during the publication of Mélange offert à S. Scheers
