Statère frappé sur un flan court et très épais, avec un droit et un revers très usés ou frappés avec des coins usés. Patine marron claire, d’un métal très chargé en cuivre

Au revers le triskèle est bien visible en bord de flan ; c’est le symbole distinctif de la classe III du type de Chenôves.
Sur cet exemplaire, l’aurige est en forme d’oiseau ; la tête ronde présente une sorte de bec recourbé.

EDUENS, ÆDUI (BIBRACTE, Area of the Mont-Beuvray)

(2nd - 1st century BC)

The Aedui (Aedui), which could be translated as the "Ardent", were certainly, after the Arverni, the most important people of Gaul.
