Magnifique exemplaire centré des deux côtés sur un flan large. Jolie patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés. Très beau portrait avec de minuscules petites marques sur la joue. Frappe un peu molle au revers

Avec ce monogramme au revers, Svoronos a relevé deux variétés (Sv. 107 et 166), reprises par O. Morkholm (Cop. 25 et 26).

Ptolemy was a childhood friend of Alexander. After the death of the latter in 323 BC, he received the satrapy of Egypt. Diadoque, he fought for forty years against his colleagues, Lysimachus, Seleucus, Antigone and Demetrius. Ptolemy was the only successor of Alexander to die in his bed.
