Agréable monnaie homogène, avec des reliefs un peu plus émoussés au droit, mais avec une très beau revers. Fine patine gris clair, légèrement nettoyée anciennement, avec des restes de concrétions d'oxyde de cuivre

ELUSATES (Area of the Gers)
(3rd-2nd century BC)
Small people of Aquitaine who occupied part of the current department of Gers, corresponding to the former county of Condomois (Comdom). Their capital was Elusa (Eauze, Gers). The Elusates were subjugated in 56 BC by Publius Licinius Crassus, lieutenant of Caesar, the son of Crassus who campaigned in Aquitaine. Sources: Caesar (BG. III, 27).
