Cette obole est très particulière, avec l'inversion des lettres MA dans la partie inférieure de la roue. Contrairement au n° 728 de MONNAIES 31, il y a un rayon entre ces deux lettres AM.
This obol is very particular, with the inversion of the letters MA in the lower part of the wheel. Unlike n° 728 of MONNAIES 31, there is a radius between these two letters AM

Историческая справка
ELYSIQUES (oppidum of Ensérune)
(2nd - 1st century BC)
The Elysians are a small people from the Narbonne region, of Iberian origin whose oppidum could be identified with Ensérune. He is known to us by a mention of Herodotus, "the father of History", who indicates that Gallic mercenaries (Élysiques) would have served in the Carthaginian army in 480 BC, at the time of the siege of 'Himera (Sicily). Sources: Herodotus (H. VII, 165).
