Peut-on supposer qu’il s’agisse d’un essai de Morlon légère (poids standard, 0,70) ou s’agit-il, comme pour l’essai très lourd, d’un poids aberrant pour une Morlon lourde normale ? Serait-ce un essai frappé en 1944 aux coins de 1941, sur le standard de poids léger, comme les F. 194/1 ?
Si tel était le cas, cette monnaie devrait être une ligne nouvelle dans le FRANC et servir d’essai officiel au type 50 centimes Morlon légère qui, actuellement, n’a d’essai que daté de 1945. D’autres poids répertoriés apporteront peut-être la réponse puisque les archives ne semblent pas à même de la donner.
Can we assume that this is a test of a light Morlon (standard weight, 0.70) or is it, as with the very heavy test, an aberrant weight for a normal heavy Morlon? Could it be a test struck in 1944 with the dies of 1941, on the light weight standard, like the F. 194/1? If this were the case, this coin should be a new line in the FRANC and serve as an official test for the 50 centimes Morlon light type which, currently, only has a test dated 1945. Other weights listed will perhaps provide the answer since the archives do not seem to be able to give it.
