Pièce commémorative circulante de la série des 27 Euros des régions au millésime 2011. Deuxième pièce de 10 Euro pour la région Mayotte en 2011. En effet la pièce de 10 Euro des régions de la série “Drapeaux” 2010 n’a été émise qu’en 2011 (après l’adoption défintive du statut régional de Mayotte).
Cette 10 Euro en argent a cours légal mais uniquement en France.
La Monnaie de Paris a débuté en 2010 une série annuelle de pièces de 10 Euro circulantes illustrant chacune des 27 régions françaises (Mayotte inclus).
En 2010 le thème choisi était les drapeaux traditionnels de chaque région. En 2011 le thème illustré est le patrimoine des régions avec sur chaque avers deux, trois ou quatre éléments marquants de celui-ci (architecture, nature...).
Pour les pièces du millésime 2010 le titrage d’argent est de 900‰, en 2011 il est de 500‰ seulement.
Le tirage global de la série 2011 est de 3.000.000 de pièces. Mais les tirages diffèrent d’une région à l’autre allant de 50.000 exemplaires pour la Guyane ou la Champagne-Ardenne à 310.000 pour l’Ile de France..

This 10 Euro silver coin is legal tender but only in France. In 2010, the Monnaie de Paris began an annual series of 10 Euro circulating coins illustrating each of the 27 French regions (including Mayotte). In 2010, the chosen theme was the traditional flags of each region. In 2011, the illustrated theme is the heritage of the regions with two, three or four notable elements of it (architecture, nature, etc.) on each obverse.
