Pièce de la série “Patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO” entamée en 2007 avec la Grande Muraille de Chine. Les Rives de Seine sont classées au patrimoine mondial de l’Unesco depuis 1991.
La série Unesco-Rives de Seine débute en 2014 avec la Tour Eiffet qui célèbre cette année son 125ème anniversaire et le Palais de Chaillot.
