Ce type précis correspond au DT. 2205 au personnage couché. Le revers n’en diffère absolument pas alors que le droit présente une petite variante. La croix en cimier est accostée de deux petites esses sur cet exemplaire ; cette particularité semble manquer à tous les ouvrages consultés, y compris le plus récent de P. Abollivier qui regroupe ces monnaies avec le revers orienté à droite en Variante 8 du type au personnage recroquevillé. Selon ce dernier, “six exemplaires ont été analysés dont quatre sont en or allié faible titre et deux en billon aurifère”. Le poids moyen des ces six exemplaire est de 6,70 grammes (de 5,98 à 6,99 g). Notre exemplaire est donc particulièrement léger, à seulement deux tiers du poids moyen.
This specific type corresponds to DT. 2205 with the reclining figure. The reverse does not differ at all, while the obverse presents a small variation. The cross in crest is flanked by two small esses on this example; this particularity seems to be missing from all the works consulted, including the most recent by P. Abollivier, which groups these coins with the reverse facing right in Variant 8 of the type with the curled-up figure. According to the latter, “six examples were analyzed, four of which are in low-grade alloy gold and two in gold-bearing billon.” The average weight of these six examples is 6.70 grams (from 5.98 to 6.99 g). Our example is therefore particularly light, at only two-thirds of the average weight
