Exemplaire bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis visibles. Portrait inhabituel de Géta barbu de la fin du règne. Revers de haut relief, bien venu à la frappe. Recouvert d’une fine patine grise avec des reflets dorés

Cet exemplaire est le 210_018 de la base TSP et provient de la vente Rauch 41 de juin 1988 n° 854 puis après nettoyage de la vente Giessener Münzhandlung 42 du 11 octobre 1988 n° 415 et enfin de la Collection Richard McAlee qui utilise cet exemplaire pour illustrer le type dans son ouvrage Coins of Roman Antioch. Cet exemplaire provient du stock CGB (bpv_305320)

Rubans de type 2. Dans la base TSP maintenue par Michel Prieur, trente-trois exemplaires sont maintenant répertoriés. Curieusement, le type n’est pourtant présent que dans quatre collections de musées, au British Museum (cinq exemplaires), à l’ANS (ex Newell), à Boston (ex Gush Halav Hoard) et à Berne.

Augustus
Geta, born on May 26, 189, became Caesar in 198 and the following year received the title of pontifex. He accompanies his father and his brother to Brittany from 208 and is raised to Augustat the following year. When Septimius Severus died in York on February 4, 211, the two brothers brought their father's ashes back to Rome and became co-emperors. But they hate each other. Finally, after a year of joint rule, Caracalla kills his brother in their mother's arms. Geta is dedicated to "damnatio memoriæ" (damnation of memory). His supporters are systematically massacred.
