Exemplaire sur un flan extrêmement large et irrégulier, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait de haut relief. Joli revers avec une petite faiblesse de frappe. Patine marron foncé

Augustus
Gordian III is the grandson of Gordian I and the nephew of Gordian II, ephemeral emperors of the year 238. At the request of the people of Rome, he is chosen as Caesar by Balbin and Pupian and succeeds them after their assassinations.
