Exemplaire sur un flan ovale, légèrement irrégulier, bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis visibles. Beau portrait, bien venu à la frappe. Revers de style fin, à l’usure surperficielle. Patine gris foncé de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés

Аверс: описание: Buste lauré d’Hadrien à droite, drapé sur l’épaule gauche (O*2).

Аверс: перевод: “Hadrianus Augustus Consul Tertium Pater Patriæ”, (Hadrien auguste consul pour la troisième fois père de la patrie).

Реверс: легенда: COS - III P P// FORT RED.

Реверс: Описание: Fortuna (la Fortune) drapée, assise à gauche, tenant un gouvernail de la main droite et une corne d’abondance de la main gauche.

Реверс: перевод: “Consul tertium// Reduci”, (Consul pour la troisième fois la Fortune qui fait revenir).

Комментарий

Un seul ruban visible. Petit pan de paludamentum sur l’épaule. Ce type semble beaucoup plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux.

HADRIAN

Hadrian was born in 76 in Italica. Pupil of Trajan, he married in 100 Sabine, grand-niece of the emperor, and made a career in the staff of the latter, in particular during the Dacian campaign. In 117, he succeeded Trajan, and traveled for twenty years, visiting the entire empire - the only Emperor to have lent himself to this exercise. In 122, Hadrian went to Spain. Childless, he first chose Aélius to succeed him in 136, but the latter died on January 1, 138. Hadrian then adopted Antonin on February 25 and himself chose Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus as Antoninus' heirs. He died on July 10, 138.
